Hello! I hope you were one of the lucky ones who got to attend or vend at the May 2010 DAWF. We had a LOT of attendees, many to sample wine, and many to view art and visit with friends. The music was really great the whole time too. The Giant City Slickers put on a great show, and I think everyone really enjoyed them! Big Larry put on a lively show, too. He really got the crowd dancing!
The event was fun and safe for people of all ages, so if you didn't bring your children this time, you are more than welcome to in the future!!
We hope to see you for our second event on October 2, 2010 - Same place!
Thanks for making the event so great!

Tasting Brochures
This year, our tasting brochure. We will give each person who buys a tasting ticket one of these. Then, you can mark your faves and non-faves. This brochure was designed by the lovely Courtney Smith, and she has done quite an amazing job, if you ask me!
The brochure should give you an idea of what types of wines we will be featuring. New this year - we have Big Muddy Brewery and Blue Martin joining us! We are excited to be expanding our festival to have beer and also appetizers/desserts this time around.
I think this is going to be fun!!

Thanks for Sharing!
I want to specially thank Autumn, the creator of Strange Folk Festival. She graciously posted a bit about our event on her site. Strange Folk Fest is well-worth going to. It is a huge Art/Music event in O'Fallon, IL near St. Louis. It happens the last weekend in September.

New Year and 2 New Dates for 2010
We have decided to hold the Downtown Art & Wine Festival on Saturday, May 22nd and also Saturday, October 2nd. Rather than 3 dates, there will be 2, so the board and the artists and vineyards can have a bit more time to prepare their work!
We have changed a few things this year, and I am sure you will be pleased.
First, we have changed the days to Saturday instead of Fridays. This way, maybe people can make a day out of their visits, and people will probably be more able to vend that way. We want to make it as easy as possible for vendors and attendees!
Also, we are revising the artists' application, which will be sent out and available this week. It will include a map of the grounds. Artists will be able to choose their favorite spot this year, and it is a first come - first serve basis. So, get your applications in as soon as possible, so someone else does not get your spot!! We are also going to mingle the vineyards' tents with the artists' tents, to get as much traffic to everyone as possible.
Many things will stay the same, like the great appearance of 2 bands, and a nice selection of Southern Illinois Vineyards. Come and sample many many local wines, and feast on some local foods. We can't wait to show you what we have to offer!!
If you want to participate, feel free to contact me at KatEyez62707 (at) yahoo.com or contact Courtney at courtney (at) seventen.com
I will update you with a bit more of the final details soon, and I will also post the application here for you to print off.
Take Care!
